Hundertwasser

Das Weihnachtsgeschenk für meine Mutter, die ein Hundertwasser- Fan ist. Hier habe ich versucht, die Farben und Formen des Künstlers in einem Peyote- Stäbchen einzufangen. Außerdem ist es praktischerweise auch wendbar, sie kann es mal bunt, mal dezent tragen.

This is my Christmas gift for my mom who loves the artist Hundertwasser. Here I tried to capture the color and shape he uses in his paintings into a peyote-stick. It also can be worn double-faced to display the colorful or more unobtrusive side.

Juleperle

Und das ist die Ootheca- Perle, die Julie von mir zu Weihnachten bekommen hat. In Pink, da Julie ja mein Vorreiter in Sachen Pink ist und daher Pink für Fortgeschrittene tragen kann!

And this is the Ootheca- Bead that I made for Julie for Christmas. In bright pink- because Julie is my cutting-edge for pink and thus, she can easily wear pink for pros!

Glitz!

Endlich, endlich gibt's mal wieder was zu sehen! Ich war nicht untätig, aber Bestellungen (so schön sie auch sind, sie brauchen Zeit) und langwierige Projekte (immer noch nichts davon fertig) haben mich aufgehalten. Nun war's aber soweit, daß ich mal wieder ein schnelleres Erfolgserlebnis wollte und daher ist dieses Set mit Ohrringen fertig geworden.

Finally, finally there's something to show again! I hadn't been lazy, but working on some orders (as great it is to have orders, they take time) and long-time projects caused some procrastination. However, recently I needed a quick result and felt like making this sparkly set with necklace and earrings.

Rumfort- Method

Und das hier mußte sein, nachdem ich immer wieder mit Martinas Rumfort- Technik konfrontiert wurde, ich mußte es auch versuchen! Macht Spaß und sieht richtig gut aus, und die Farben sind auch von Martina inspiriert, denn... es ist GOLD mit drin!

This simply had to happen, after I kept being confronted with Martina's "Roundgone"- technique (meaning that you use things that keep laying around and have to go... sounds better in German, it is a pun that doesn't really work in translation, sorry). I just had to try it and it was a lot of fun, looks great and the colors are inspired by Martina as well because... the color GOLD was used!

Es lilat wieder mal- Purple attack

Ich kann's nicht lassen mit Lila- das ist ein Armband aus der letzten Beadwork, aber ich mußte die Farben doch etwas modifizieren...

I cannot live without purple- here's a bracelet from the last Beadwork magazine, but I had to adapt the colors to my own color range...

Green-o-mania

Ich habe neulich entdeckt, daß ich fast überhaupt keine schönen grünen Schmücker habe, die zu meinen wenigen, aber sehr grünen Shirts passen! Dem mußte also schnell Abhilfe geschaffen werden!
Ich präsentiere: das sehr grüne Set in grün mit grünen Perlen, Basis inspiriert von Coco006.

It recently occurred to me that I faced a dire lack of green jewelry that matches with my few, but very green shirts! So I had to do something about that! I give you: the very green set in green with green beads, the base inspired by Coco006.

Einztelteile- Single items

Ich habe mich endlich mal aufgerafft und die bisher fertigen Einzelteile fotografiert, die in diesem Haushalt so herumschweben. Verdient haben sie ja eigentlich, online gezeigt zu werden, auch wenn sie (noch) nicht Teil von etwas Komplexerem sind... da muß ich nochmal heftig in mich gehen, was mit denen passiert, aber irgendwann wird es, das weiß ich!
Von oben nach unten: ein Stern, inspiriert von Eva Maria Keiser, ein Sechseck nach Kriszta aus Ungarn und eine BB Planete von Remundia.

I finally got around to take pictures of the finished beaded objects that keep floating loosely in this household. I think they deserve to be shown even though they are not yet part of something complex... I still have to ponder how to incorporate those UFO's into something, but it's going to happen, that much I know!

Julie perlt wieder!

Nach längerer Perl-Pause, bedingt durch die wiedererwachte Liebe zu Garnen und Stricknadeln, hab ich festgestellt, daß ich doch immer noch perleninfiziert bin.

Mit der Perle in Santafes Lieblingsfarben war das genau das richtige Geburtstagsgeschenk für sie (plus Buch, natürlich, damit sie gleich sieht, was es ist - Göttergatte fragte nämlich, wie man sich denn diesen langen Haken übers Ohr hängen sollte....)

On Mariposas blog I found the sultan bead (http://manogyongyei.blogspot.com/2009/01/sultan-bogy.html) and I wanted to do a bookmark which I gave to Santafe as a birthday present (in a book, so she knew how it works...).

Disco Bracelet

Ich mußte es einfach haben, das Armband nach Marcia DeCoster. Und das, obwohl ich RAW wirklich, ganz wirklich absolut nicht leiden kann. Ich sehe es als Versuch, meine Abneigung zu überwinden, etwas Neues zu versuchen und perlenmäßig weiterzukommen. In der Beziehung hat es wirklich geholfen, aber ich weiß nicht, ob ich jemals wieder sowas...

I just had to have it, this bracelet from Marcia DeCoster. And I have to mention that I actually really, really dislike RAW big time. So I consider it as an attempt to overcome my dislike, try something new and get ahead in beading. In that regard it really brought me progress, yet I don't know if I will ever again...

UFO

Manchmal kann es laaange dauern, bis ein angefangenes Projekt fertig wird, aber ich habe mir vorgenommen, nun des öfteren UFOs weiterzubearbeiten und hier ist nun endlich das erste Opfer fertig! Ich hoffe, weitere folgen in loser Reihenfolge...

Sometimes it can take aaages till I finish a started project, but I have made the resolution to work on so-called UFOs more often from now on and here is the first victim that got finished. I hope I can maintain this...

Chain link bracelets

Es war eine ziemliche Fleißarbeit, aber ich habe mir 2 Armbänder aus Kettengliedern eingebildet und Ohrringe sind auch noch dazu gewachsen. Sowas kommt beim Herumspielen raus, wenn ich mal nicht genau weiß, auf was ich Lust habe...

It was quite a timetaking task, but I wanted to have those two bracelets in chain link peyote and I even added earrings. This is what happens when I don't have anything particular in mind and play around...

Bling-bling

Zwischendrin wollte ich mal wieder einen schnellen Erfolg und da entstanden am Wochenende diese beiden Armbänder- inspiriert von einer Kombination einer Anleitung von Joanie Jenniges und Selber- Herumprobieren. Da ich die 2- Nadel- Technik verabscheue, habe ich es mit nur einer Nadel gemacht und es geht auch!

I needed a quick success inbetween and so, I made those two bracelets on the weekend- inspired by a basic instruction by Joanie Jenniges and trying myself. Since I hate the 2-needle-crossweave technique, I did it with one single needle and it worked as well!
