Da hat sich Justyna eine schöne Möglichkeit ausgedacht, Twins zu integrieren und ich habe bereits farbliche Pläne für eine zweite Sonne!

Das "Urchin"- Teilchen aus Marcia deCosters Buch "Beaded Opulence" hat mich schon länger angeschaut, aber weil man dabei so viel RAW machen muß, habe ich es immer wieder aufgeschoben.
Nun habe ich mich endlich rangewagt und ich fürchte, es bleibt ein Einzelstück, weil es sehr fitzelig zu perlen war und ich mit dem Ergebnis auch nicht ganz zufrieden bin, da es von der Festigkeit her ein Rückgrat wie eine Babyrobbe hat.
Aber ich hab's immerhin probiert und eine pinke Kordel habe ich ihm auch noch spendiert!
The "Urchin"- thingy from Marcia deCoster's book "Beaded Opulence" has been on my mind for longer, but I never could bring myself to make it because it mainly consists of my least favorite technique RAW.
Now I finally tackled it and it looks like this will be a one-of-a-kind attempt because it was very intricate to bead and I must admit I'm not entirely happy with the result as the stiffness is rather like a baby seal's spine than what I usually produce.
But I did it and I also gave it a nice pink cord!

ufgrund des nichtendenwollenden tristen, kalten Wetters habe ich wohl einen hartnäckigen Pinkflush... der sich heute in meiner Version des Amadoue- Necklaces von Sylvie Camps zeigt.
Wenn schon draußen nur alles grau ist, hab ich wenigstens pink- bunt an mir!
(Natürlich trage ich sowas nicht auf schwarz, sondern auf pink, orange oder türkis. Oder lila. Geht auch zur Not.)
Due to the neverending dull, cold weather I seem to have a persistent pink- flush... today revealing itself in my version of Sylvie Camps' Amadoue- Necklace.
Since everything outside is only grey I really need to have something pink- colorful on me.
(Of course, someone like me doesn't wear that on black, but on pink, orange or turquoise. Or purple.
Would work too. In a pinch.)
Die Kälte geht einfach nicht weg und meine Buntattacke hat nicht das gebracht, was ich erhofft hatte. Da ich aber nicht so schnell aufgebe, gibt es nun wieder mal eine Mag- Kette in Farben, die vielleicht etwas Wärme (zumindest im Geiste) bewirken können!

Okay, my trick to lure spring with colors doesn't have seemed to work- it's snowing like crazy. Still.
So I decided to play hardball now concerning color with the Splendid Cone by Chelseapearls.
I rest my case.
Now if that doesn't do the trick, I am at a loss!
Wenn man einmal damit anfängt, kann man gar nicht mehr damit aufhören... zumindest geht es mir so mit Zuzzls Dynamic Donuts.
Weil es mir noch nicht bunt genug war, habe ich auch die Seiten jeweils verschieden gemacht.

Because it can never be colorful enough I decided to make each side in different colors, too.
Manchmal braucht man ein schnelles Erfolgserlebnis und da kamen mir die Tila- Curves gerade recht, gefunden bei Aroundthebeadingtable.
Und ein schöner Nebeneffekt zusätzlich zum schnellen Fädeln: man macht endlich was mit den Tilas, die sich im Lauf der Zeit angesammelt haben, aber immer noch in den Tütchen verpackt auf Verwendung lauern.
Wie kann sowas manchmal nur passieren? Erst muß ich sie un-be-dingt haben, dann führen sie ein tristes Tütendasein...
Sometimes you need a quick result and that was the perfect time for the Tila- Curves that I found by Aroundthebeadingtable.
Plus you have another benefit beside the speedy work: you finally get around to tackle the tilas that have accumulated over the time, but still were sentenced to sit in their bags, waiting for action.
How come this happens sometimes? First I nee-ee-ed to have them absolutely and then, they're sitting around for ages...

Die Kette "Prima" von Isabella Lam war schon eine ganze Weile auf meiner Liste und nun ist sie endlich etwas geworden.
Eine witzige Art, etwas zu fädeln, es geht wirklich relativ schnell und macht süchtig!

Nachdem ich mir seit längerer Zeit eine Kette nur mit silbernen geperlten Perlen eingebildet habe, wurde sie nun endlich fertig.
Gut, es ist ein bißchen türkis eingearbeitet, aber für meine Verhältnisse ist die wirklich sehr, sehr monochrom!
Am schlimmsten für mich war das Zusammenfügen mit den Metallteilen, was ich ja sehr verabscheue, aber in dem Fall war es einfach die beste Lösung und ich habe mich durchgezwungen.

After having set my mind on a necklace made with only silver beaded beads for quite some time, it's now finally finished.
Okay, there's a bit of turquoise included, but for my usual way of beading it's really very monochrome!
The worst for me was the connecting with metal parts which is something I absolutely hate, but in this case it was the best solution and so I forced myself to pull thru.

Since the neverending snowing is currently getting on my nerves pretty much I just had to make a ring in spring colors this week.
Auf Isabella Lam's Seite bei Etsy gibt es ja viele schöne Ketten, aber ich habe mich nun für die Mag entschieden, die wirklich relativ schnell geht und sehr viel Spaß zu fädeln macht!
Ich weiß jetzt schon, daß das nicht das einzige Exemplar bleiben wird!

Bei Perle4You habe ich diese wunderschöne Anleitung gefunden und sie hat mich sofort inspiriert, mich endlich mit diesem wirklich gigantischen, schon lange herumliegenden 27mm Rivoli zu beschäftigen. Den hatte ich einfach mal gekauft, weil er mir so gefiel und dann ist mir nicht wirklich etwas eingefallen, das seiner würdig wäre.

Das Midwinter- Armband von Heatherworks hat es mir schon länger angetan, und weil die Eiskristalle draußen manchmal in weiß und blau und lila glitzern... ach was, das ist Blödsinn, es gibt keine lila Eiskristalle, die existieren nur in meiner Phantasie, aber es ist eine schöne Erklärung, warum ich hier mal wieder so in den Lilatopf gefallen bin.
The Midwinter Bracelet by Heatherworks has been on my mind for quite some time and because of the glittering ice crystals in white and blue and purple... oh yikes, that's silly, there is no such thing as purple ice, that only exists in my brain, but it's a nice excuse for falling deeply into the purple-paint-pot again.
Über die Feiertage habe ich mich mal wieder- wie gern im Winter- in den Herrn der Ringe vertieft und dabei kam mir die Idee, daß es ja vielleicht nicht immer "ein Ring sie zu knechten, sie alle zu finden, ins Dunkel zu treiben und ewig zu binden" sein muß, sondern es könnte auch mal einer sein, den man sich einfach nur hübsch um den Hals hängt.
Gut, das tut Frodo auch, aber ich versichere, daß diese hier weder unsichtbar machen noch einen ins Reich der Schatten schicken!
Over the holidays I have again- like often in winter- "The Lord of The Rings" and it gave me the idea that it needn't always be "One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, to bring them all and in the darkness bind them", but you could also just wear it around your neck.
Granted, Frodo does this as well, but I assure that these here neither make you invisible nor will they send you into the kingdom of shadows!

Dieses Armband nach Laura McCabe hat mich beim Zusammennähen schier in die Verzweiflung getrieben- 18 Peyoteringe zusammenfügen klingt erstmal nicht so schlimm, aber dann kommen noch viel mehr Stege und für die Mittelteile nochmal je 4 Verbindungen dazu und dann muß man es auch noch verzieren und dann- ach, egal, nun ist es fertig, aber ich befürchte stark, es wird, so gut es mir gefällt, kein Geschwisterchen dafür geben.
Niemals nicht!

This bracelet after Laura McCabe nearly yielded me to despair- to connect 18 peyote rings doesn't sound too hard at first, but then you have to make more and more links and then four more links for each of the middle elements and then- what the heck, it's ready now, but I strongly assume there won't be a sister for this one ever, as much as I like it now.

Dieser Anhänger durfte nach Australien zu meiner Freundin Sandy reisen- passenderweise heißt die Anleitung Downunder von Sabine Lippert und ist eigentlich für ein Armband gedacht, aber ich finde, man kann auch einen Anhänger daraus machen.
This pendant went to Australia to my friend Sandy- how appropriate that this pattern by Sabine Lippert is called Downunder. Actually it's a bracelet, but I think it also looks very good as a pendant.
Diese Kette nach Vezsuzsi habe ich für meine Mutter zu Weihnachten gemacht, sie kam sehr gut an und ist bestimmt vielseitig tragbar.
So langsam erwärme ich mich immer mehr für die Twin Beads!

Bei der Kälte braucht man etwas Wärmendes, und ich bin der Ansicht, daß auch Farben wärmen. Daher wurden die Lotus- Ohrringe nach einer Anleitung von Beki Haley ganz leicht unblumig und mehr in Richtung Bollywood, denn in Indien ist es jetzt bestimmt schön warm.
With the cold outside you need something to warm you up and I am convinced that colors can do that, too. So, the Lotus earrings after a pattern from Beki Haley turned out to be rather un-flowery, but more on the Bollywood-side because I am sure it's nice and warm in India right now.
Seit hier Winter ist und wir aus dem Schneeschaufeln nicht mehr herauskommen, schlägt sich das auch auf mein Farbempfinden nieder, wie es scheint... so entstand, den Temperaturen und der Schneemenge angepaßt, der Anhänger "Snowstar" in kaltem Peyote und mit einem frostigen Rivoli innen.
Now that winter is here and we are ever-busy with shoveling snow, my color scheme seems to be affected by that... so the pendant "Snowstar" came to be that's matching the temperatures and amount of snow, made in cold peyote and with a frosty rivoli inside.
Mit dem ersten Eis und Schnee kommt sogar bei mir der Wunsch nach winterlichem Schmuck auf- hier ein RAW- Armband mit viel Glitzer in Eisfarben.
Und nein, ich bin nicht krank, die Farbe ist nicht von mir gewichen!
With the first ice and snow even I get the urge to make some wintery jewellery- meet my RAW bracelet with lots of bling in icy colors.
And no, I am not sick, I haven't lost color!

Auch wenn ich es sonst nicht mit eher romantisch wirkenden Designs habe- Chiaras Lace von Crystaltinker konnte ich nicht widerstehen, nachdem ich einige Originale beim letzten Perlentreffen gesehen hatte.
Es fädelt sich sehr schön und macht auch was her und natürlich muß bei mir etwas Romantik der Buntheit weichen!
Even though I generally don't really fancy romantic designs I couldn't resist Crystaltinker's "Chiaras Lace" after having seen some originals at the last beader's meeting.
It's fun to bead and looks really nice and, of course, some romantic has to make way for color!
