Palooza-mania

Und weil es am Wochenende schlechtes Wetter war, ich Lust auf eine runde Sache hatte, ich ein Geburtstagsgeschenk perlen sollte/wollte/mußte und überhaupt... habe ich gleich 2 Poly Paloozas nach Eva Marie Keiser gemacht. 
Die linke darf zu einer lieben Freundin, die rechte bleibt bei mir.


And because the weather was bad on the weekend, because I felt like doing something round, because I had to/wanted to/needed to make a birthday gift and just because... I made 2 Poly Palooza beaded beads from Eva Marie Keiser.
The left one is the gift for a dear friend, the right one stays with me.

Bracelet- Mania

Derzeit bin ich an den Wochenenden recht fleißig- gestern wurde endlich dieses Armband von Csilla Csirmak fertig,  das es mir schon vom ersten Anschauen her angetan hatte. 
Ich habe die Zutaten etwas abgewandelt und es trägt sich sehr angenehm, fast wie eine Uhr!


I'm rather productive these weekends- yesterday I finished this bracelet by Csilla Csirmak that I had liked at first view. 
I changed the "ingredients" a bit and it's very comfy to wear, almost feels like a watch.

Around the Block

Es geht voran mit einem meiner Neujahrvorsätze: nach und nach alles aus den Beadworks nachfädeln, was schon lange auf Halde liegt.
Hier also wieder mal ein Armband von Barbara Falkowitz, das relativ schnell geht und viel Spaß macht.


I'm doing good with one of my New Year's resolutions: to bead Beadwork magazine projects that I have wanted to make for ages.
So here's a bracelet once more, designed by Barbara Falkowitz- quite quick to make and a lot of fun.

Treasured Heirloom

Dies ist meine silberne Version von Kelly Wiese's viktorianischer Kette aus der Beadwork. Da ich überhaupt kein Gold trage, mußte es natürlich silber werden- und eine ordentliche Portion Bling-Bling.


This is my silver version of Kelly Wiese's victorian necklace in one of the last beadwork mags. Since I don't wear gold at all it had to be silver- and an extra touch of bling-bling!

Steampunk

Einmal ein Ausflug in farblich eher ungewohnte Gebiete- hier ist meine Steampunk- Kette, inspiriert durch Sherry Serafini's Muschelkette aus Beadwork 2011. Da ich arbeiten mit Metall gar nicht mag, habe ich die Elemente, die ich mir eigentlich als Kupferkette vorgestellt habe, einfach mit Perlen gemacht.


A little excursion into rather unusual color schemes- here is my steampunk- necklace, inspired by Sherry Serafini's bezelled shell pendant from a 2011Beadwork magazine. 
Since I detest working with metal I decided to make the elements I had planned to be copper metal chainlinks with beads instead.

Nymphe

Ohne mich selbst loben zu wollen, war ich am Wochenende wirklich ziemlich fleißig.
Hier ist die Nymphe von Lilith, die ich endlich fertigbekommen habe. 
Eine recht aufwendige, aber sehr spannende und schöne Anleitung!

Hovirag

Beim Abarbeiten meiner To-Do-Liste (einer meiner Vorsätze für dieses Jahr, tadaa!) bin ich auf Orsinkas Blumendesign namens Hovirag gestoßen. Weil ich aber eigentlich gar keine geperlten Blumen mag (ja, sowas gibt es!), habe ich sie etwas umgewandelt, so daß sie Santafe- tauglich ist.


While working on my to-do-list (one of my new year's resolutions, tadaa!) I stumbled across Orsinka's flower called Hovirag. Now, I actually don't really like beaded flowers (yes people like that do exist, shame on me) I changed it a bit so it is now Santafe- suitable.

Feathers

Nach einigen langwierigen Projekten wollte ich mal wieder einen eher schnellen Erfolg und das gelang mir mit dem Feathers- Armband nach Jaycee. Da kommen sicher noch Ohrringe, eine Kette und Farbvariationen dazu, das weiß ich jetzt schon!


After having made some rather timetaking projects I wanted a quicker success for a change and I achieved that with the Feather's bracelet by Jaycee. I already know there'll be earrings, a necklace and color variations of the above to come.

2012

Heute keine neuen Sachen zum Schauen, weil ich an mehreren UFO's gleichzeitig arbeite und noch niiiichts fertig habe... aber dafür allen meinen Lesern und Besuchern ein gutes Neues Jahr, viel Glück, Erfolg, Gesundheit und natürlich uns allen viele Perlen!


Today no new things to view because I'm currently working on several UFO's at the same time and nothiiing is finished yet... but instead of that I want to wish a Happy New Year to all my followers and visitors, with much luck, success, health and, of course, many beads for all of us!

Polaris Star

Dieser Stern aus Diane Fitzgerald's "Shaped Beadwork" stand schon lange auf meiner Liste und endlich hat er es geschafft, sich zu materialisieren!

This star from Diane Fitzgerald's "Shaped Beadwork" had been on my list for quite a while and now finally managed to materialize!

Phraseology

Ich konnte dem neuen Buch von Rachel Nelson- Smith nicht widerstehen und habe mir als erstes diese Kette gemacht, die mich sofort angesprungen hatte. Nicht gerade wenig Arbeit, aber es hat sich wohl gelohnt. Außerdem muß ich sagen, daß diese Ketten süchtig machen, also wird es davon wohl noch mehr geben müssen...


I couldn't resist the new book by Rachel Nelson- Smith and decided to make this necklace at first because it literally jumped on me. It's not really a quick project, but I think it was worth the effort. And I have to state that this necklace is addictive, so I'm sure there'll be more of this kind...

Albertine Necklace

Diese elfenhafte Kette aus der Beadwork mußte ich einfach haben- für meine Verhältnisse sogar in sehr dezenten Farben, aber sogar ich weiß, wann krachbunt nicht angemessen ist. Fand ich zumindest hier nicht passend. 

This elf-like necklace from Beadwork magazine was a must-have for me the moment I laid my eyes on it. I know, it's rather unobtrusive for my usual color scheme, but even I know when to curb my color explosions. At least I considered it appropriate for this project.

Darkness

Es scheint, als hätte ich gerade einen Lauf! Diese Perle, "Darkness" von Crystal Tinker, ist mir schon oft ins Auge gestochen und nun habe ich auch eine. Die Farben sind für meine Verhältnisse eher dezent, aber bei dem Namen mußte ich einfach ein bißchen dunkler arbeiten.


It seems that I'm going like clockwork these days. I have run across this beaded bead"Darkness" by Crystal Tinker several times already and now I have one, too. Considering my usual color scheme, the colors are a bit more restrained in this case, but I felt I had to observe the name with this bead and adapt.

Ich seh immer noch grün... das dürfte so ziemlich das grünste sein, was ich je gemacht habe, aber ich freue mich, daß ich endlich eine Idee hatte, wie ich diese extremgiftgrünen Rivolis einarbeiten konnte. Das Set besteht aus einer Massenansammlung von Rivolis, einem Armband und Ohrringen.

I'm still seeing green... that must be about the greenest thing I ever made, but I'm happy that I finally had an idea how to work with these extremely greeeeen rivolis.

This set consists of a mass of rivolis, a bracelet and earrings.

The Multi- handed lizard

Nur zum Spaß- der Traum aller mit einer großen To- Do- Liste... die mehrarmige Perleneidechse!

Lilac

Endlich konnte ich mein Bedürfnis nach einer ausschließlich lila Kette erfüllen, denn bisher hatte ich einfach nie genug schöne Nuancen davon. Da ich immer viel lila trage, war dieses "lila-nackig" gehen immer sehr traurig, aber damit ist's jetzt vorbei!


I finally could fulfill my want to have an exclusively purple necklace because until lately I never seemed to have enough shades of this color. Since I love to wear purple I always felt sad about being "naked of purple". That's over and done with now!

Opulence Bead

Auch wenn der Größenvergleich nicht abzuschätzen sein mag- die Opulence Bead ist opulent, und zwar nicht nur vom Aussehen her, sondern auch von der schieren Größe.

Morbol

Morbol ist von Alexargai und sowohl ein Perlenfresserchen als auch ein schönes Stück Arbeit, aber es hat sich gelohnt, durchzuhalten! Wo diese Perle dann leben wird, weiß ich noch nicht, aber ich denke da an ein dickeres Band in türkis.


Morbol was developed by Alexargai and not only a bead devourer but also quite a bit of work, but I think it was worth it. I still don't know how this bead will be worn, but I guess something like a turquoise cord might work well.

Filled Square

Ich wollte den Square von Sabine Lippert mit etwas füllen, das ein bißchen an Bollywood und Indien erinnert und diejenigen, die mich und mein Farbschema kennen, werden nicht zucken, sondern nur sagen, daß das wieder mal paßt...


I wanted to fill the square by Sabine Lippert with something reminding of Bollywood and India and those of you who know me and my color preferences won't twitch but state that this is it once again...

Sweet Temptation

Ich konnte der süßen Versuchung nicht widerstehen und habe mir eine Perlentorte gemacht, die garantiert nicht auf die Hüften geht!

I couldn't resist the temptation and made myself a beaded cake that is guaranteed not to go directly to the hips.

Icosahedron

Endlich habe ich mich mal an die Poly Palooza- Serie von Eva Marie Keiser gemacht und meinen Wunsch nach einem Icosathe- äh, Icosthater-- ehm, also, will sagen: 20- Teilchen- Kugel namens Icosahedron erfüllt. So, jetzt ist es raus und hier ist es!


I finally got around to make something from the Poly Palooza- series by Eva Marie Keiser and fulfilled my desire to have an Icosathe- ehrr, Icosthather-- erm, well, wanna say: 20-pieces-ball called Icosahedron. So, I said it and here it izz!

Grapefruit Mania

Okay, und jetzt mal etwas ganz anderes... manchmal überfällt mich die Wollsucht und dann kommen solche Sachen heraus. Normale Schals kann ich nicht, ich kann nur sowas... und das dank eines wirklich witzigen Buchs von Twinkie Chan aus San Francisco!


Okay, and now for something completely different... sometimes I succumb to the wool-addiction and then I end up with things like this. I can't do normal scarves, I only can do stuff like this... thanks to a real funny book by Twinkie Chan in San Francisco!

Pakora

Ich habe für einen Swap eine Pakora in Sonnenauf-oder Untergangsfarben gemacht, je nachdem, wie früh man gerne aufsteht oder auch nicht (für mich als Frühaufstehenhasser ist es jedenfalls definitiv Sonnenuntergang!). Da die Empfängerin auch lila liebt, war mir wichtig, daß viel davon drin ist und wie es aussieht, ist der Anhänger auch sehr gut angekommen.

I made this Pakora pendant for a sunrise/sunset themed swap (depending on whether one likes to get up early or not... for me as a hater of early rises it definitely qualifies as a sunset motif!)

Since the recipient loves purple like I do also I made sure that the piece contains a lot of purple and it looks like the pendant is being liked.

Moroccon Tiles

Nach so vielen geperlten Perlen wollte ich zur Abwechslung mal wieder ein Armband machen- und die neueste Ausgabe der Beadwork hatte dann das perfekte Projekt für mich- mein erstes mit Tilas. Diese kleinen fiesen Dinger haben mit ihren zwei Löchern ja ein Eigenleben, aber ich habe mich durchgewurstelt, auch wenn's anfangs ziemlich denkintensiv war.


After all those beaded beads I wanted to make a bracelet for a change- so the latest issue of Beadwork magazine inspired me to make my very first tila-bead-project. Those little darn things have their own life with those two holes, but I managed to manouever myself thru nevertheless althought it required some hard brain work in the beginning.

Honeycomb Bracelet

Es hat eine Weile gedauert, dieses Armband aus der Bead& Button zu machen, weil ich nicht genug Rondelles in der richtigen Größe hatte. Die waren ganz schön schwer zu finden, oh Mann, aber jetzt...!


It took me a while to make this bracelet from a Bead& Button because I couldn't get enough rondelles in the needed size. Man, those were really hard to find, but alas...!

Mu-go

Endlich habe ich die beim Perlentreffen angefangene Mu-Go- Perle fertiggemacht, die wir bei Christine gelernt haben. Jetzt muß sie nur noch an die Kette gelegt werden!

I finally finished the Mu-Go-Bead that I started to make at the Beading Gathering after Christine's tutorial. Now I only need to put it "in chains"!

Epaulets

Nun ist wieder mal ein UFO fertiggeworden- die Einzelteile lagen seit vor Weihnachten herum, aber es zieht sich oft unendlich, wenn's ans Zusammenfügen geht. Nun habe ich es aber geschafft und somit ist mein Epaulet- Kette nach Laura McCabe endlich zum Zeigen fertig!


Another UFO (unfinished flying object, derives from beading objects that fly or float around in the house, awaiting their completion) got finally finished- the components had been around ever since Christmas time, but sometimes it draaags when it comes to final composition. But now I managed and thus, I give you my epaulet necklace after Laura McCabe!

Geheel

Diese Kette ist mein allererster Versuch- tadaaa!!- mit Draht und einer Kette zu arbeiten. Es hat mich viel Nachdenken, große Überwindung und einen wunden Daumen gekostet, aber auch wenn Metall und ich nie Freunde werden- es war nicht so schlimm wie befürchtet und mit dem Ergebnis bin ich wirklich sehr zufrieden.
Die Perlen stammen von Alexargai und heißen Geheel und sie machen wahnsinnig viel Spaß!


This necklace is my very first attempt- tadaaa!!- working with wire and a chain. It took me quite a lot of pondering, quite a bit of overcoming and a sore thumb, but despite the sad fact that metall and me won't ever become friends- it wasn't as bad as I had initially feared and I really like the result.
The beads are from Alexargai and they are a whole lot of fun to make!

Pakora

Ich habe bei Perles de Paline gestöbert und diese Anleitung von Alexargai gefunden, die mich sehr interessiert hat. Das fertige Teilchen gefällt mir sehr gut und es wird bestimmt nicht das einzige seiner Art bleiben.


I browsed at Perles de Paline and found this tutorial from Alexargai that I liked immediately. I'm happy with the result and it surely won't stay alone for long.

Hedibollen

Und noch ein Hedibollen- auch ich kann durchaus Ton- in- Ton arbeiten, wie man sieht!


And another Hedibollen- and I AM able to work in unobtrusive color shades, yes!

Pineapple Flower

Dieses schöne Teilchen entstand mit der lieben Hilfe von Christine- eine wunderbare Anleitung, wie ich finde! Und so schön appetitlich- ananassig, irgendwie erinnert mich diese dreiteilige Perle an eine Ananas oder Blüte. Oder beides. Oder so. 


This lovely piece was created with the help of Christine- a wonderful tutorial in my opinion. And so appetizing- somehow pineapple-ish. Somehow this three- component- bead reminds me of a pineapple or a flower. Or both. Or such.

Victorian Set

An einem verschneeregneten Wochenende mußte mal wieder ein schnelleres Erfolgserlebnis her als die in letzter Zeit üblichen Ewigkeitsprojekte. Also eine meiner Beadworks geschnappt, eine der "wollte-ich-schon-immer-mal-machen"- Listen angeschaut und dann wurde es das viktorianische Armband. Und weil's so gut ging, habe ich gleich noch Ohrringe dazu gemacht.
Folglich konnte frau heute auch gut angezogen aus dem Haus gehen und mußte keinen nackten Hals haben... weil ich ja sonst nichts zum Dranhängen habe, hihi!


Last weekend having been a sleety one I felt like needing a quicker project than my currently eternity- projects. So I grabbed one of my Beadwork magazines, went thru my "wanted-to-make-this-for-ages"- lists and then I ended up with this victorian bracelet. And because it worked up so nicely I added a pair of earrings, too. 
And thus, me was able to leave the house well- ornamented today instead with a bare naked neck...  as if I wouldn't  have anything else to sparkle myself up with, tee hee.

Europa

Hier kommt die Perle Europa! Ich habe sie bei Perlette94 gefunden, Mille Merci für diese schöne Anleitung, aber sie mußte farblich etwas vom gezeigten Schema abweichen...

Hedibollen

Das ist das Ergebnis von Hedis Anleitung beim letzten Perlhühnertreffen, wo ich ihr über die Schulter schauen konnte. Irgendwie heißt es jetzt einfach nur Hedibollen...

This is the result of Hedi's tutorial during the last "Guinea- Fowl" -Meeting where I could have a peek over her shoulder. Somehow it's still just named "Hedi- Bollen" (and this is impossible to translate, sorry!)
