Von Christine durfte ich diese nette Perle lernen. Ich habe ziemlich gleich festgestellt, daß sie nicht nur schnell gehen, sondern auch total Spaß zu fädeln machen und so recht schnell, quasi über Nacht (naja, gut, es waren zwei Nächte) diese bunte Kette entstanden ist.
Ich bin sicher, diese Perle wirkt auch in dezenten Farben, aber werden wir es je erfahren??
I was taught how to make this cute bead by Christine and was soon aware that it's not only quick to make, but also a lot of fun and so, basically overnight (okay, it was two nights) I came up with this colorful necklace.
I am sure that this bead also looks good in more subtle colors as well, but will we ever know??
Wer mich kennt, weiß, daß ich mich selten bis nie an Farbvorgaben von Anleitungen halte. Dieses Mal war's eine Ausnahme, weil ich dieses Armband aus der aktuellen Beadwork schon für mein Farbempfinden passend fand und es keiner Santafe-isierung bedurfte.

Now for something completely different- since I'm usually more on the purist side concerning new bead shapes and often feeling a bit overwhelmed by the many new shapes and what-not that keep popping up these days, I left myself get talked round this time and got myself some half tills to be able to make this lovely bracelet from Norma Jean Dell.

Dies habe ich ich einer Beadwork gefunden und es hat mich sofort an viktorianischen Schmuck erinnert.
Da mir sowas sehr gefällt, mußte ich es natürlich machen- es ist doch gut, wenn man ab und an die älteren Ausgaben durchblättert!
This is from an issue of Beadwork and it reminded me of Victorian-era-jewelry.
I really like that style, so I had to make it right away- and I found it's pretty clever to leaf thru the older issues from time to time!
Ich weiß, ich habe sehr lange nichts gepostet, aber mein Arbeitsaufkommen hat mich ziemlich in Anspruch genommen.
Nun habe ich mich aber- zumindest momentan- mal aus dem Riesenberg herausgearbeitet und komme endlich dazu, ein paar Ergebnisse meiner nachmitternächtlichen Perlerei zu fotografieren und bearbeiten.
Ja, auch wenn ich bis 23h am Schreibtisch sitzen mußte, danach war ich meistens so aufgedreht, daß an Schlafen noch nicht zu denken war und dann waren ein paar Perlen eine schöne beruhigende Abwechslung.
Hier ein Armband aus einer älteren Beadwork in Sommerfarben (könnte bei den derzeitigen Temperaturen grade noch angehen...)
I know I have kept silent for quite a long time, but my work load was immense.
Now I finally managed to break free from the huge paper heap, at least for the time being, and did at last have a chance to take photos of my recent beading results, most of them very late night pieces.
Yeah, even when sitting at my desk till 11 pm or later, there is no way to crawl into bed right away. I'm usually too pent-up to go to sleep, so some relaxing beading was the way to go.
Here's a bracelet from an older Beadwork issue, in summer colors (might still be valid considering the current fall temperatures that beat August...)
