Ich liebe die Designs von Patrick Duggan (http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/patrickduggandesigns)
und das Medaillon Annabella läßt sich wunderbar krachbunt arbeiten, da es schön geometrisch aufgebaut ist und für Color Blocking geradezu perfekt ist.
Und weil eine Seite bunt nicht bunt genug war, habe ich es auch noch verschieden gemacht, damit man es beidseitig tragen kann.
Und zu ganz vielen Outfits- grün geht, gelb geht, orange geht, pink geht, lila geht, blau geht, braun geht, türkis geht.. einfach perfekt!
I love Patrick Duggan's designs (http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/patrickduggandesigns) and the Annabella pendant is a great piece to work in very bright colorful shades because its geometric form lend to color blocking just perfectly.
And because one side wasn't yet colorful enough I decided to make it a two-face-pendant.
Now it goes with so many outfits- green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, brown, turquoise- just perfect!
Und noch ein paar schnelle Erfolgserlebnisse nach einer Idee von Puck- hier kommen endlich mal meine schon lang herumliegenden, nie benutzten Rullas zu Ehren.
Ich muß zugeben, mit denen kann man doch ganz schöne Sache machen...
And some more quick successes after Puca- here I could finally make use of the oodles of Rullas that had been moaning and feeling bored in their bags for quite a while.
I have to admit there are quite some nice possibilities with them...
Wegen vieler neuer Ideen und langem Anleitungs- Erstellen und einer Menge Arbeit in meinem normalen Leben ist in letzter Zeit nicht so viel gegangen, wie ich gewollt hätte, aber endlich gibt es wieder ein paar Sachen zu zeigen!
Ja, manchmal kommt das tägliche normale Leben und die Arbeit schon sehr in die Quere und sogar ich Nachteule kann mich weit nach 22h, wenn ich derzeit oft endlich das Büro verlasse, nicht immer dazu aufraffen, noch zu den Perlen zu greifen.
Um mal ein schnelles Erfolgserlebnis zu haben, gibt es hier erstmal ein dünnes Armband, das aber schneller zu fädeln aussieht als es ist, aber viel Spaß macht- von MeiBijoux auf Etsy.
Due to many new ideas and excessive tutorial-writing plus a lot of work in my regular non-beading life, I couldn't bead as much lately as I might have wanted, but here are some new things finally!
Well, sometimes daily life and work gets into beading's way and even a night owl like me cannot always tackle the beads after coming home from the office after 10m, as happened so often lately.
To have a fast rewarding success, here is a thin bracelet by MeiBijoux from Etsy- looks quicker to make that it actually proves, but is a lot of fun to bead!

Eine Anleitung von Sabine Lippert, die schon lange bei mir herumlag, die ich aber aus mir unerfindlichen Gründen bisher nicht angepackt habe. Hätte ich doch eher, das opulente Teil geht wirklich schnell zu fädeln und macht was her- nur die letzten beiden Reihen mit den Glasschliffperlen (die grünen) haben mich gefuchst, das war echt knifflig.
Made from a tutorial by Sabine Lippert that has been sitting around for ages and I cannot tell why I haven't tackled it before. I should have, for this opulent piece is rather quick to bead and makes a real impression- only the last two rows of fire polished beads (the green ones) were extremely hard to add and was rather tedious on my precious beading nerves.
Nach einer längeren Pause- viel und plötzliche Arbeit mit vielen fiesen Abgabeterminen und ein neuer Computer, der manchmal immer noch für mich komische Dinge tut und andersartige Geräusche macht- nun endlich wieder was Geperltes!
Dieses Collier von Alexargai hat mir schon länger gefallen, aber ich mußte erst noch die Türkisen Twins besorgen, die ich mir dafür eingebildet habe.
After a (too long) break- a lot of unexpected work with many tough deadlines and a new computer that still does odd things and makes alien noises from time to time- now finally something from the beading front again!
I had wanted to make this necklace from Alexargai for quite some time, but first needed to find the turquoise twin beads that I had my mind set on.

I lately discovered this video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mP7XEZb_kD4 and started to play around with the idea. Out came this bracelet which is quick to make and a nice rewarding project for an afternoon.
Auf der Mineralienmesse München konnte ich diesem interessanten Teil nicht widerstehen und nun ist es schon eingeperlt, damit es mal rauskommt aus seiner Schachtel.
Ich habe die Seiten etwas unterschiedlich gearbeitet, so daß es zweiseitig tragbar ist und wenn man es ins Licht hält, ist es sogar noch durchscheinend!
(Wobei ich es mir komisch vorstelle, wenn ich es immer an zwei Fingern hochgehalten vor mir hertrage, damit ich das Leuchten sehe...)
I couldn't resist this interesting piece when visiting the Munich Gem Show.
Now it's already bead-framed so it will have a chance to see some light instead of the inside of its box only.
I beaded both sides in a slightly different way so it's reversible and, held against the light, it's translucent in parts even!
(Yet, I figure I'd look funny carrying it ahead of me, holding it between two fingers up in the air so I can see the transparency...)
Niemand, am wenigstens ich, hätte je geglaubt, daß ich beim Herumspielen und Probieren ausgerechnet mit RAW arbeiten würde, weil ich das einigermaßen ziemlich hasse.
Nun ist es aber passiert und ich war so überrascht von mir selbst, daß es gleich drei Armbänder wurden, bevor ich gemerkt habe, was passiert ist!
Nobody, me myself least of all, would ever have believed that I use RAW when playing and trying around because I'm known for hating it rather profoundly.
Now it happened indeed and I was so surprised by myself that I had three bracelets done before I realized what was going on.

Aus einem mir inzwischen nicht mehr rekonstruierbaren Grund fand ich neulich ein Kit für diesen Ring- ich, die ich sonst nie Kits erstehe, da ich meist eine ganz eigene Vorstellung von Farben habe.
Da ich versuche, UFO's abzuarbeiten, wurden schnell 2 dezente gegen farbigere Farben ausgetauscht und noch dazu ein Wendering daraus gemacht.
So gefällt mir das schon besser!

For a reason unbeknownst to me I recently dug out a kit for this ring- me, who never buys kits due to my rather distinctive relation towards colors.
Since I'm trying to get rid off a few UFO's I quickly exchanged two of the low-key colors to a bit more, well, colorful ones. So I could tackle it and also made it a turnable ring.
I quite like it that way!
Normalerweise hab ich's ja nicht so mit Blumigem, aber die Retro Blossom aus der aktuellen Beadwork haben was.
Da sie mir als Ohrringe dann doch zu viel waren, habe ich einen Anhänger daraus gemacht- natürlich in den gewohnt unauffälligen Farben.
I usually don't care for flowery stuff too much, but I somehow liked the Retro Blossom in the current Beadwork isue.
Yet I felt like pushing it too hard as earrings, so I turned it into a pendant- in the usual unobtrusive colors, of course.
Schnell gefädelt für einen schönen Erfolg an einem Abend ist dieser Anhänger, den ich bei Perlebijoux gefunden habe und es funktioniert auch ohne Italienisch- Kenntnisse, welche ich nämlich nicht habe.
Ich brauche so langsam ein paar Hälse mehr, um mir all das umzuhängen, was ich so fädele...
Quickly beaded for a nice result in one evening: this pendant was discovered at Perlebijoux and can be managed even with non- existing Italian language knowlege, like I have lack of.
I have a notion I could use a few more necks to wear everything I bead...
Eine geht noch- diese Flutterbys machen süchtig und daß ich noch eine in Navajo- Farben brauche, war mir von Anfang an klar.
There's always room for one more- these Flutterbys are addictive and I knew from the start that I still would need one in Navajo- style- colors.
Auf http://whimbeads.com/cart.asp?pg=classroom_flutterby habe ich dank Smartina diese Kette entdeckt und sie ist wirklich was für ein schneller Erfolgserlebnis zwischendurch.
Nicht nur schnell gefädelt, sondern auch schön zu arbeiten und zu tragen, weil sie sehr angenehm liegt.
Das werden nicht die letzten gewesen sein!

Die neue Beadwork ist da und mir ist sofort die Kette von Smadar Grossman ins Auge gesprungen- ich hatte noch genau 5 Rivolis 10mm übrig, was für ein Glück!
Macht sehr viel Spaß zu fädeln und ich konnte mich dafür sogar überwinden, ein bißchen mit Metall und Biegeringen zu arbeiten, damit die Elemente besser zur Geltung kommen.
Mag kein Metallarbeiten!
The new Beadwork has arrived and this necklace by Smadar Grossman caught my eye immediately- and fortunately I had exactly 5 rivolis 10mm left!
It was fun to bead and I even bit the bullet and worked with some metal and split rings to make the elements stand out better.
Don't like metal working!

Since the Forest- Sprite- Bracelet was so much fun to bead I developed a necklace variation.

In einer der letzten Beadworks gab es ein Armband mit einer Variante der beliebten Hugs & Kisses- Anleitung und das fädelt sich so schön, daß ich mir gleich zwei gemacht habe. Meine Unterarme sind laaang, da hat noch einiges Platz und Perlen habe ich auch noch übrig...
In one of the last Beadwork magazines I found a bracelet in a variation of the popular Hugs & Kisses style and it was so nice to bead that I made two of them at once.
My forearms are loong, there's plenty of space left and I also have beads left...
Dieses Armband von Barbara Falcowitz ist aus der aktuellen Beadwork und wer mich kennt, wird wohl nicht glauben, daß ich so eine Farbkombi mache, aber ich wollte einfach mal etwas radikal anderes machen.
Also kein pink- nagut, okay, nur seeehr wenig, kein türkis, nichts extrem buntes... und was soll ich sagen, mir gefällt es trotzdem!
This bracelet from Barbara Falcowith is from the current Beadwork issue and everyone who knows me won't believe that I really made such a color combination.
I wanted something completely different for a change and surprised myself by not using any pink- okay, a tiny wee bit only, but no turquoise, nothing brightly colorful... and what can I say? I like it nevertheless!
Ich arbeite gerade ein paar Beadwork Magazines auf, die herumliegen und noch nicht sortiert sind, weil es darin noch Dinge gibt, die ich probieren will.
So auch dieses relativ schnell zu fädelnde Tila- Armband, das extrem weich und geschmeidig anliegt und sich super trägt.
I'm currently beading my way thru a couple of Beadwork mags that keep waiting to get sorted and haven't been stowed away yet because I wanted to make a few things out of those issues.
One of those is this quite quickly-made bracelet with Tilas that feels extremely smooth and soft and is great to wear.
