Der Rivoli ist eigentlich ganz gelb, aber mit den grün-orangen Zusätzen erscheint er jetzt eher grünlich, daher der Name. Wieder mal ein spannendes Farbenexperiment.
The rivoli actually is yellow, but with the green-orange beads added it now makes more of a greenish impression, hence the name. This is another interesting color experiment.
Es hat einigermaßen lange gedauert, einigermaßen Geduld und Nerven gekostet, auch einigermaßen Durchhaltevermögen, aber es hat sich einigermaßen gelohnt, finde ich... Hier also mein neuester Zugang, das dreidimensionale Armband aus dem aktuellen B&B- Buch.

Jaaaa, und nach langer Pause habe ich endlich wieder einiges zu zeigen und nun wird hoffentlich klar, warum das so lange gedauert hat, denn bis auf eines (das Armband) waren das lauter seeeeeehr langwierige Fleißarbeiten. Yesss, and after a quite long break I finally have something to display again and now you hopefully understand why it took so long because except for one- the bracelet- all the projects were veeeery timetaking, even timesucking work. Ich weiß, Weihnachten ist vorbei, aber wie wäre es mit Oster- Sternen? 5 Rivolis der gleichen Farbe wirken ziemlich unterschiedlich, je nach der Farbwahl der Umrandung. Fand ich irgendwie spannend.

Finally it's ready, my long-time-piece! It took ages to get assembled because making single pieces is pure joy and I'm motivated, but assembly, suturation and- bleargh- attaching closures and toggles... that's stuff I always procrastinate!

Das Weihnachtsgeschenk für meine Mutter, die ein Hundertwasser- Fan ist. Hier habe ich versucht, die Farben und Formen des Künstlers in einem Peyote- Stäbchen einzufangen. Außerdem ist es praktischerweise auch wendbar, sie kann es mal bunt, mal dezent tragen.
This is my Christmas gift for my mom who loves the artist Hundertwasser. Here I tried to capture the color and shape he uses in his paintings into a peyote-stick. It also can be worn double-faced to display the colorful or more unobtrusive side.

Endlich, endlich gibt's mal wieder was zu sehen! Ich war nicht untätig, aber Bestellungen (so schön sie auch sind, sie brauchen Zeit) und langwierige Projekte (immer noch nichts davon fertig) haben mich aufgehalten. Nun war's aber soweit, daß ich mal wieder ein schnelleres Erfolgserlebnis wollte und daher ist dieses Set mit Ohrringen fertig geworden.
Finally, finally there's something to show again! I hadn't been lazy, but working on some orders (as great it is to have orders, they take time) and long-time projects caused some procrastination. However, recently I needed a quick result and felt like making this sparkly set with necklace and earrings.
Und das hier mußte sein, nachdem ich immer wieder mit Martinas Rumfort- Technik konfrontiert wurde, ich mußte es auch versuchen! Macht Spaß und sieht richtig gut aus, und die Farben sind auch von Martina inspiriert, denn... es ist GOLD mit drin!
This simply had to happen, after I kept being confronted with Martina's "Roundgone"- technique (meaning that you use things that keep laying around and have to go... sounds better in German, it is a pun that doesn't really work in translation, sorry). I just had to try it and it was a lot of fun, looks great and the colors are inspired by Martina as well because... the color GOLD was used!

I finally got around to take pictures of the finished beaded objects that keep floating loosely in this household. I think they deserve to be shown even though they are not yet part of something complex... I still have to ponder how to incorporate those UFO's into something, but it's going to happen, that much I know!

In der Beziehung hat es wirklich geholfen, aber ich weiß nicht, ob ich jemals wieder sowas...
I just had to have it, this bracelet from Marcia DeCoster. And I have to mention that I actually really, really dislike RAW big time. So I consider it as an attempt to overcome my dislike, try something new and get ahead in beading. In that regard it really brought me progress, yet I don't know if I will ever again...

Zwischendrin wollte ich mal wieder einen schnellen Erfolg und da entstanden am Wochenende diese beiden Armbänder- inspiriert von einer Kombination einer Anleitung von Joanie Jenniges und Selber- Herumprobieren. Da ich die 2- Nadel- Technik verabscheue, habe ich es mit nur einer Nadel gemacht und es geht auch!
I needed a quick success inbetween and so, I made those two bracelets on the weekend- inspired by a basic instruction by Joanie Jenniges and trying myself. Since I hate the 2-needle-crossweave technique, I did it with one single needle and it worked as well!

Die Einzelteile zu dieser Kette waren ja schon auf dem Perlhühner-Blog zu sehen – das Endprodukt will ich aber auch noch zeigen. Ich wollte lauter verschiedene Perlen haben, hätte gerne auch noch mehr ausprobiert, aber dann wäre die Kette zu lang geworden. Sogar meinem Chef ist sie bei der Weihnachtsfeier im Büro aufgefallen!
Armband und Ohrringe aus blauen und grünen Dreiecken mit schwarzen Streifen – hier habe ich mal wieder herumgespielt.
Die großen lila Glasperlen haben mich zu dieser Kette inspiriert – ein Weihnachtsgeschenk für meine liebe Kollegin, die sich immer über Geperltes freut.
Sampler Necklace: the beads for this necklace have already been posted on the "Perlhühner"- Blog, but I want to show the final result here now. I wanted to have many different beads and there were many more ideas, but the necklace would have become endlessly long. It even attracted my bosses attention during our Christmas party at the office!

Somehow this pendant reminds me of the Aztec culture, so I called it The Sun God. Santafe goes back to her Native American roots, it was about time...
